The Donkey Path

Towards the end of our honeymoon the sun had finally arrived and we truly started enjoying our stay on this wonderful island even more. We decided to finally try "Sunset" restaurant, the most coveted and romantic spot to dine at in all of Santorini. And that is where our adventure began. You see all we knew was that it was in Oia, and because there are no drivable roads within the town we assumed we would just walk around and find our way as we always do. After being unsuccessful at locating it, we asked a local where we should head, and the nice greek man just told us to continue heading down. So we followed instruction...Boy did we not know what we were in for. In Oia, Donkeys utilize a path made up of steps all the way down the cliff to the water, turns out that was the way to our romantic dinner. And donkeys shit A LOT. It took us 25 minutes to walk down the cliff steps while avoiding the donkey crap, like some sort of sick obstacle course. Best part being, i wore a beautiful white maxi dress. I swore like a sailor the entire way down. I still thank god to this day that I did not wear wedges or heels, that definitely would have added a level of difficulty I was not ready for. When we arrived we did have a lovely dinner and definitely cabbed back up the mountain. The shit steps of death would simply have been too challenging in the dark, not ready for that expert level yet.2014-06-05 at 12-02-292014-06-05 at 12-05-562014-06-05 at 12-02-482014-06-05 at 12-10-382014-06-05 at 12-02-542014-06-05 at 12-08-212014-06-05 at 12-06-132014-06-05 at 12-04-052014-06-05 at 12-05-102014-06-05 at 12-03-222014-06-05 at 12-06-032014-06-05 at 12-04-412014-06-05 at 12-04-09 (1)So peaceful before I knew what was coming
