My Date With Travis

Montreal, Canada

Last week I had the immense pleasure of hosting my favourite Montreal designer, Travis Taddeo's, VIP shopping event in his beautiful old port atelier. Reminiscent of Andy Warhol's factory, the evening was driven by talented Montreal artists and vendors coming together, sharing their craft, and having one or two glasses of bubbly. From Deux Lion jewelry to Alice Kass lingerie, and many more, the room was filled with little wonders I wanted to make mine...and had to succumb to by the end of the night.

Having known the name Travis Taddeo as an established  designer with a bold take on minimalist lines, based out of our city, I couldn't wait to meet the man behind this distinctive aesthetic. Not only does my buddy Travis make the most remarkable garments with distinctive blends of silk, jersey, and fur, but I now know him as the sweetest soul I've ever had the chance to come across in my long 24 years of life. I was like a kid in a candy store, picking #OOTD options for the event earlier that week, and felt privilege to do so with the man behind the magic.

All in all, the evening was a great success and a wonderful time, though I did have a hard time watching my coveted pieces from Travis' collection find new homes. I truly don't know how he parts with them. In his position, I would be one hell of a hoarder...a broke hoarder surrounded by beautiful clothes. Doesn't sound so bad at all.

TT, all day, Erryday,

Matted wool shirt and leather shorts by Travis Taddeo, Chloe "Faye" bag, Zara rings, Cartier watch and bracelets, and Tom Ford python boots.
